Sherbet drinks were created in Persia and were one of Lord Byron's favourite drinks - so much that he even mentioned them in A Thousand and One Nights! The Persian Kings brought their Sherbet drinks over to Delhi when they invaded India. Sherbets are made from a variety of fruits, herbs and flowers and were probably the first non alcoholic cocktail!
